do you like 5SOS or did you reblog that because you think it's bullshit that they are on AP?

I am not afraid to admit that i do enjoy 5 Seconds Of Summer. Do i think they are pop punk and should continue to be called that? Absolutely not. But what even is pop punk anymore? Because Blink 182 is pop punk, but so is like Joyce Manor and Real Friends and The Wonder Years and DADs and all of those bands hardly fit together. Do I think they are groundbreaking? Nope. Do i think they are good at what they do, which is being a boy band with instruments that they actually play? Absolutely. They are good. And the majority of the pop punk/AP music fans are a bunch of elitist pricks. Clearly we all know that Alternative Press isn’t exclusive to Alternative music anymore (did you watch the APMAs?) and they are a business, they’re gonna make money, these boys can make them money.

It’s a shame that they’re going to get hate just for being successful. They’re One Direction with guitars and “edgy” style and maybe the world needs that. I for one am interested to get the issue and read what AP has to say about them.

This is a Onstage Portrait of John O’Callaghan from The Maine. It’s shot by Adam Elmakias obviously. What I love about this and all of his Onstage Portraits is that it captures the emotions of the artists. What I really love about this one is that even though it may be blurry there is still some type of art form that goes along with it. I actually love the fact that he kept this picture because it isn’t clear but it is indeed beautiful.

Oliver Sykes accepting the award for his band Bring Me The Horizon at the APMAS

"This one is to the band who slagged us off on stage last night. No point in naming and shaming, mainly because I’ve never heard of you, too busy working and doing it. That’s the only advice I can give any young band, don’t listen to the negativity of others, jealousy is toxic and will hold them back in the end. Work hard and have fun and don’t let anybody tell you who and what you are. Preach over."
